This intense five-day course is taught by instructors from Fort Benning's Ranger Training Brigade Combatives Program. Training Outline Includes:

  • Mental Calm--how to develope the ability to better control fear/anger.
  • Situational Awareness--how to be cognizant of things going on around the fighters which could have a direct impact on the outcome such as weapons or other personnel joining the fight.
  • Base--an introduction to the posture that allows the fighter to gain leverage from the ground.
  • Dominant Body Position--how to gain and maintain this vital position in a fight.
  • Distance--each technique has a window of effectiveness based on the amount of space between the two combatants. The fighter must control this distance to control the fight.
  • Physical Balance / Leverage--how to use the parts of the body to create a natural mechanical advantage while maintaining equilibrium and remain stable during the fight.
