There are places on the planet where normal protective operational procedures just won't get the job done. Your team has to be overt, strong and ready. This course provides one of the most comprehensive PSD/Force Protection private training programs anywhere.

The Training Outline Includes:

  • Case studies of terrorist attacks
  • Communications
  • Threat Assessments
  • Mounted/dismounted formations will be taught and practiced for covert/overt scenarios
  • Walking formations (covert and overt foot movement of the VIP)
  • High Threat Walking Formations (foot movement of the VIP)
  • Deliberate as well as Hasty Site Surveys (Advances)
  • Command Post (CP, TOC) Operations
  • Advanced Firearms Training (carbine, pistol)
  • Route Analysis / Selection
  • Conducting a Personal Vulnerability Assessment (PVA)
  • Unarmed defensive tactics and using edged weapons
  • Advanced Driving Skills (to include armored or other specialty vehicles, i.e., HUM-V, etc.)
  • Surveillance, Counter-Surveillance and Surveillance Detection
  • Evacuation, Escape and Evasion
  • Students will be taught how to brief the detail on upcoming operations.
  • Realistic Attack-on-Principal (AOP) scenarios and drills are held.
  • Practical field exercises will follow classroom instruction in order to emphasize these newly acquired skills in a building-block approach.
  • The course will conclude with a 48 hour extensive, real-world practical exercise testing all the skills to which the students have been exposed.

Required Equipment List:

  • Good quality handgun with four magazines and 2,000 rounds of ammunition.
  • Good quality carbine rifle with four magazines and 2,000 rounds of ammunition, as well as a weapon-mounted white light with blue lens cover.
  • Rain and cold-weather gear
  • Hearing and wraparound eye protection (clear eyepro for night work)
  • Cover shirt (for concealing weapons, radios, etc.)
  • *Civilian clothing (if a military unit then also bring BDUs, Kevlar and helmet)
  • *If military unit only – bring individual radios for your unit
  • Soft body armor (if you don’t have, we can provide)
  • Small flashlight of any type
