The Internship Program

Our internship program seeks motivated undergraduate and graduate students to serve internships in our analytic offices. They research, analyze, write, and brief on international political, military, economic, scientific, technical, and leadership developments.

The program allows participants and SCG to assess opportunities for permanent employment following the participant's completion of school.

Application - Submit the Following:

• A completed SCG Internship Application
• A cover letter detailing your internship objectives and post-graduate career goals
• One page resume listing your complete educational, professional and extracurricular activities
• Writing sample of no more than 1150 words relevant to the topic of study you wish to research during your internship at SCG. This should relate in some way to the research area most preferred to the applicant as chosen on the application form.
• Official transcript(s) for all post-secondary schools attended.
• Two letters of reference addressing the candidate's interest and experience in governmental analysis, political science or other relevant field as well as the candidate's ability to communicate both orally and in writing and the candidate's maturity and judgment. At least one letter should be from a faculty member.

Eligibility

• Must be at least a college junior in good standing or an advanced student.
• Must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have not used illegal drugs within the last 12 months

NOTE: All applications must be postmarked by the deadline indicated for the semester for which you are applying. Faxed or emailed applications will not be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
