SCG is an innovative leader in this field. We have a perfect record of 100% safe recovery and repatriation. SCG staff includes over 200 specialists from around the globe with experience ranging from law enforcement, intelligence gathering and negotiations to linguists, diplomacy and international law. RESPONSE:

  • Evaluate the circumstances surrounding the kidnap
  • Explain the likely sequence of future events
  • Advise on effective negotiation strategies to successfully resolve the kidnap - our consultants have extensive experience advising on the most appropriate response to abductor threats, demands and tactics
  • Advise on the management of the agendas of all interested parties - including the victim, family and friends, employers, the media, governments and law enforcement agencies. We assist in bringing order and a decision making structure to what is frequently a stressful and emotionally-charged situation
  • Provide support for the victim's family throughout the kidnap by highlighting likely emotional reactions to captivity and release to better prepare the family, friends and colleagues
  • Help rehabilitate the victim after release. Victims often experience anger, guilt or shame after coming home. SCG can assist referring counselors specializing in abduction/hostage therapy to the family and victim to aid in their emotional recovery

Our consultants remain in-country throughout as advisors to those managing the incident. Consultants in the field are supported by a dedicated team of researchers, attorneys and specialists based in Virginia providing relevant antecedent information.
