The course is designed for the journalist or
media employee assigned to foreign countries--especially high-threat
areas. The journalist will be taught how to recognize surveillance and
taught what to do about it. We will study case histories of
kidnappings; you will learn how to drive out of a situation; how to
survive in the desert; basics of military life; how to defend yourself
if you have no other choice and lastly, if all else fails, how to
survive if taken abducted. This course can be tailored to the
organization’s time constraints but is ideally taught over three days,
usually a weekend to better fit in with busy schedules.
