What is the Prime Vendor Program? The program enables the Military and Federal communities to take advantage of the commercial vendors' distribution systems.
Prime Vendor gives the customer access to all of our services, consultants and products. It enables the customer to receive deliveries in a timely manner. You decide what you want, when you want it and where you want it. It provides one stop shopping and ease of bill paying.
The overall purpose of this program is to streamline supply chain management, increase activity productivity and mission efficiency. The program consists of the combination of commercial best practices and leading edge information technology to provide the framework for improved customer support. This will in essence shorten the "logistics pipeline" and make it more reliable. It is a rapid and cost effective method of acquisition.
