This training course will teach the student techniques for detecting surveillance. The students will conduct exercises following classroom study to gain practical skills in all three disciplines.
Course content includes:

Case studies of kidnappings, terrorists and criminal attacks will be covered for instructive value.
- Surveillance detection concepts and application(s) will be discussed.
- Foot, vehicle, aerial and combined surveillance operations will be examined to determine how to defeat them.
- Identifying surveillant vulnerabilities
- How to plan a Surveillance Detection Route (SDR).
- Executing surveillance detection routes to identify surveillants
- The class will learn how to conduct a route analysis.
- Detecting and dealing with surveillance in non-permissive environments.
- Manipulating surveillance for detection purposes
- Identifying surveillants while on foot
- Identifying surveillants while driving a vehicle
- Confirmation of surveillance presence
- Use of counter surveillance to detect surveillants
- Communications equipment, surveillance gear and accessories.
- Disguises, diversions and other techniques.
- An overview of Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM), their capabilities and related issues.
- Course will end with practical exercises where students will be required to plan a route, detect surveillance and afterwards conduct a briefing on their findings.
