This is a comprehensive training program which will focus on teaching the student all aspects of the art of surveillance. The interrelationship of the three primary disciplines of surveillance, counter-surveillance and surveillance detection will be covered. The students will conduct exercises following classroom study to gain practical skills in all three disciplines.
Course content includes:

Surveillance, counter-surveillance and surveillance detection concepts, differences and application(s).
- Foot, vehicle, aerial and combined surveillance operations.
- Conducting a Route Analysis.
- Planning a Surveillance Detection Route (SDR).
- Detecting and dealing with surveillance in denied areas of operations.
- Operating a Surveillance Command Post.
- Communications equipment, surveillance gear and accessories.
- Disguises, diversions and other techniques.
- An overview of Technical Surveillance Counter Measures (TSCM), their capabilities and related issues.
- Practical exercises where students will be required to plan a route, detect surveillance and afterwards conduct a briefing on their findings
